San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Darwin Ceren tied the knot on Dec. 27, 2017 with his wife Delia Ceren in a religious ceremony. Surrounded by friends and family, the wedding took place in their native El Salvador.
The couple met in 2010 while he played for Juventud Independiente and married in a civil ceremony in 2012. They have three children together: Jonathan, Darlin and Alaia.
“I met my wife Delia on the training field and I knew that she was going to be an important person in my life,” Ceren said in his In My Words piece in 2017. “I knew she was going to put my life in order and take me on a different path.”
Following the ceremony, Ceren expressed his sentiments on Instagram: “Thank you God for allowing me to reach the end of the year in such an incredible way. Thank you for my wife. I hope that we have many more years of happiness and prosperity together. Delia Ceren, I love you. You are the most beautiful present that God has given me and I hope to make you happy for the rest of our days.”
