The San Jose Earthquakes are celebrating 50 years in 2024, and throughout the year, we are celebrating the people who make this club one of the greatest and most historic in the country. You’ve already seen the launch of The 50 Kit, our “This Is 50” campaign, throwback merch drops, and amazing stories of the past being shared in-stadium and on social media.
As we turn our focus to the culmination of these efforts, the 50th Anniversary game at Stanford Stadium on June 29 vs. LA Galaxy, we proudly reveal the 50 Greatest Quakes. One of the things that makes our club special is our commitment to our alumni, and we could not be more excited to dip back into the archives to present this list to the fans who have supported us throughout the years.
The Quakes would like to think every single player who has worn the red, black, blue or celery green of the Earthquakes over our 50 year history for their contribution to the club, no matter how many games they appeared in.
Throughout the month of June, we will reveal two players on the 50 Greatest Quakes list per day. Please enjoy this walk down memory lane, and honor the legends of San Jose’s original professional sports team.
