Quakes goalkeeper Andrew Tarbell officially took home MLS Save of the Week for Week 23 Thursday morning after an acrobatic tip save off a Romell Quioto blast this past weekend in Houston. The second-year netminder out of Clemson tallied four saves in the club’s loss to the Houston Dynamo.
This isn’t the first time Tarbell was nominated for a MLS Save of the Week. In his MLS debut against Columbus Crew SC on Aug. 27, 2016, Tarbell did well to deny Columbus’ Adam Jahn on the door step just minutes into entering the match.
The Quakes return to action this Saturday, Aug. 19 against the Philadelphia Union. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
