First MLS Appearance - April 28, 1996
Although the Columbus Crew originally drafted Corrales in 1996, he was immediately traded to the San Jose Clash for a second-round pick in the 1996 MLS supplemental draft. He made his debut on April 28, 1996 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena against the Los Angeles Galaxy as a substitute in the 87th minute. Corrales, who was 19 at the time, was the first player in MLS history to come into Major League Soccer straight from high school.

First Assist – June 8, 1996
On June 8, 1996, Ramiro Corrales dished out his first career assist to forward Missael Espinoza at the Cotton Bowl against the Dallas Burn. Corrales would go on to record 32 career assists with the Earthquakes, tied for fourth most in club history.
First Goal – September 18, 1996
Corrales notched the first goal of his MLS career on September 18, 1996 at Spartan Stadium in San Jose on a free kick against the Tampa Bay Mutiny. Corrales would eventually score 15 more goals over the course of his career while playing for San Jose.
2001 MLS Cup Final – October 21, 2001
When the San Jose Earthquakes took on the LA Galaxy for the MLS Cup in Columbus, Ohio, they were forced to play without starting midfielder Manny Lagos due to an injury. Ramiro Corrales got the start in in Lagos’ place and chose to wear Lagos’ jersey underneath his own. Corrales helped lead the Quakes to their first ever MLS Cup title in a 2-1 overtime win over their rivals.
Two Free Kick Goals - September 2, 2012
On September 2, 2012, Corrales recorded a brace in a 4-0 blowout win against Chivas USA. Corrales’ first goal came off of a beautifully taken free kick from the right side of the pitch that curled around Chivas’ defensive wall and into the net. His second goal came late in the match after Chris Wondolowski was dragged down about 30 yards from goal. As Chivas USA took their time forming a wall, Corrales took advantage and his free kick caught their net-minder unprepared.
Corrales’ Final Match – October 26, 2013
Ramiro Corrales’ final match of his MLS career took place on October 26, 2013 against FC Dallas at Buck Shaw Stadium. Corrales’ start marked his 250th career MLS appearance for the Earthquakes. When he was subbed out for Rafael Baca in the 60th minute, forward Steven Lenhart and defender Victor Bernardez lifted Corrales onto their shoulders and walked him off the pitch for the last time.
