SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Jackson Yueill was one of 27 players called to the United States Men’s National Team for a training camp ahead of a friendly match vs. No. 13-ranked Switzerland on May 30 in St. Gallen. The match, which kicks off at 11 a.m. PT and will be broadcast live on ESPN, UniMas and TUDN, represents the USMNT’s final preparation before competing in the Nations League Final Four in early June.
The final 23-player roster for the Concacaf Nations League Final Four is due on May 24.
Yueill, 24, has made nine prior appearances for the senior national team. The UCLA product was most recently selected as team captain for the U.S. U-23 roster at the Concacaf Olympic Qualifying Championship in Guadalajara, Mexico, scoring two goals in four appearances (three starts) during the tournament. Prior to that, the Bloomington, Minn. native started in three of the four matches that led to the USA finishing first in Concacaf Nations League Group A in 2019.
Named the Quakes’ Young Player of the Year in both 2019 and 2020, Yueill has scored two goals in six appearances (all starts) during the 2021 season and was selected to Major League Soccer’s Team of the Week in Week 3.
