The Quakes U15s and U17s traveled to Southern California to participate in the 2021 MLS NEXT Fest. Each squad faced three opponents for a chance to qualify for the Generation Adidas Cup.
The U15s defeated DC United 3-0 on Friday, tied Chicago Fire 2-2 on Saturday, and defeated Sporting Kansas City 2-1 on Monday, earning them a first place spot in group A.
The U17s went undefeated after beating Atlanta United 5-2 on Friday, 4-0 against Columbus Crew on Saturday and 3-0 versus Philadelphia Union on Monday. Following back-to-back clean sheets, the U17s came out on top in group D.
Both squads will now enjoy the holidays and will return to play in February against the Vancouver Whitecaps.
The U13s and U14s will face the San Francisco Glens on Wednesday Dec. 8th and Lamorinda SC on Saturday, Dec. 11.
