The 24 under 24 countdown, presented by EA Sports, is back for the 2016 season and Earthquakes midfielder Fatai Alashe has made the 50-player short list!
On Monday, Sept. 19, MLS will start their countdown of the top 24 young players in the league by unveiling 24-16. The list will continue to roll out with 15-11 on Tuesday, 10-6 on Wednesday and 1-5 on Thursday.
Alashe, playing in his second season with San Jose, has recorded two goals and one assist in 22 starts this season. In his rookie campaign in 2015, Alashe made 27 starts in 28 appearances, finishing second in voting for the 2015 MLS Rookie of the Year award. The San Jose defensive midfielder is revered for scoring the opening goal at Avaya Stadium in a thrilling 2-1 win against the Chicago Fire on March 22, 2015.
