SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Eric Calvillo has been named to the final El Salvador U-23 roster for the upcoming Concacaf Olympic Qualifiers from March 18-30 in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Calvillo, 23, was most recently called up to a training camp with El Salvador earlier this year. He has also represented the United States at the U-15, U-17 and U-19 levels, including being named to the United States’ 21-man roster at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup. The Palmdale, Calif. native signed with San Jose prior to the 2018 season. He has since made four starts in 11 MLS appearances, setting single-season career-highs in minutes (184), appearances (6), and assists (1) in 2020, as well as making his first MLS postseason appearance against Sporting Kansas City on Nov. 22.
Seventeen-year-old Quakes Academy goalkeeper Damian Alguera was also named to the final 20-man El Salvador U-23 roster for the upcoming competition.
