Two of San Jose’s biggest community pillars have joined together in a historic partnership. The San Jose Earthquakes and San Jose State University have agreed to a multi-year partnership, with SJSU being named the club’s official higher education partner, the first of its kind in MLS. CaliSCG Defeated in Playoffs of eMLS Cup to Undefeated Eventual Champion Kid M3Mito

CaliSCG’s eMLS Cup presented by PlayStation run came to an end in the first round of the intense playoffs at PAX Arena in Boston in front of hundreds of in-person viewers on the main stage & thousands of additional online viewers. After conceding two early goals to the eventual champion Kid M3Mito from Houston Dynamo, who was undefeated in all 23 games of the tournament, Cali simply couldn’t recover, going down to 3-0 at halftime, where the score remained until the final whistle. MLS announces Playstation as Presenting Sponsor of Inaugural eMLS Cup for EA Sports FIFA 19


Major League Soccer (MLS) announced that PlayStation® from Sony Interactive Entertainment, is the presenting sponsor of the inaugural eMLS Cup, MLS’s premier gaming event, which debuts this week at the popular gaming festival PAX East. In addition, PlayStation®4 will be featured across eMLS programming as part of a joint strategy to support FIFA competitive gaming in the U.S. and Canada. Read the full story here.


U.S. Soccer Releases First Round Pairings for 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup

U.S. Soccer announced the pairings for the First Round of the 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, U.S. Soccer's National Championship. The First Round will commence after a three-game Play-In Round May 5-6, which was added to accommodate the Jacksonville Armada, Miami FC 2 and New York Cosmos B. The First Round will consist of one match on May 8 followed by 25 others played May 9 and feature teams from the Premier Development League (PDL), National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), and Open Division local qualifiers in head-to-head, single-elimination competition.
