The USL Championship announced last Thursday the four Western Conference groups that will battle for a place in the 2020 USL Championship Playoffs when the league returns on Saturday, July 11. Reno 1868 FC was drawn into Group A, where they will face Portland Timbers 2, Sacramento Republic FC, and Tacoma Defiance.
The USL Championship announced last Wednesday an updated format for the remainder of the 2020 season that will see clubs divided into eight groups to complete a 16-game regular season followed by a single-elimination playoff. To find out more, click here.
The USL Championship Task Force announced on June 22 that the current training moratorium will be lifted starting Wednesday, June 24, paving the way for a return to full-squad training. Reno restarted full-team training last week, Get Earthquakes Fit presented by Sutter Health becoming the first Northern Nevada team at any major level to return to action following the statewide sports shutdown.
