The Earthquakes Academy’s U-13, U-14, U-15, and U-17 squads traveled to Southern California on Wednesday, Aug. 25 for three days of preseason matches.

Thursday was full of back-to-back games against the Los Angeles Galaxy. The U-17s won 3-2, the U-15s fell 2-1, the U-14s lost 4-3 and the U-13s defeated the Galaxy 3-2.
The boys returned the following morning to face LAFC. The U-13s started the day off by winning their second match in a row, defeating LAFC 1-0. Next, the U-15s fell just short, losing 3-2 while the U-14s (2-2) and U-17s (0-0) both tied their opponent.
On Sunday morning, the academy wrapped up preseason with matches against Real SoCal, Real Salt Lake and LAFC. The U-13s (2-0) and U-14s (2-1) both defeated Real SoCal, while the U-15s defeated Real Salt Lake 1-0 and the U-17s lost to LAFC 2-0.
