A versatile and fast midfielder/defender, Salinas was the Quakes top draft pick upon their return to MLS in 2008. He played 13 seasons and 332 games for the Quakes, placing him second in both categories behind only Chris Wondolowski. A starter at both wide midfield and outside back, Salinas could also make an immediate impact off the bench with his speed and ability to take players on. He was a key contributor on three playoff teams and a Supporters’ Shield winner in 2012. One of his most memorable moments came in the MLS is Back Tournament in 2020 in Orlando, when he weaved through the Vancouver Whitecaps defense to score a last-second winner to cap a furious Quakes comeback.
