Dangerfield has been a part of the San Jose soccer scene for over 40 years and has played a role in all eras of the Earthquakes, starring as a midfielder for the NASL Quakes, playing two seasons for the Western Soccer Alliance Quakes and serving as a broadcaster and club ambassador in the MLS era. On the field, Dangerfield scored 14 goals and registered 14 assists and was a big part of the 1983 Quakes that went unbeaten at home and came within one game of the Soccer Bowl. Danger was inducted into the Quakes Hall of Fame in 2018.
