Acquired in a trade from Toronto FC in 2010, Cronin played an integral role in the Quakes midfield for five seasons. His partnership with Rafa Baca in central midfield was crucial to the Quakes 2012 Supporters’ Shield-winning season. The Quakes put together winning records in three of his five seasons in San Jose. He played over 30 games in a season three times and finished with 140 appearances, while scoring five goals and notching 12 assists. His iconic sliding goal at the 2012 California Clasico at Stanford Stadium against the LA Galaxy set the stage for the Quakes incredible 4-3 comeback win.
