The San Jose Earthquakes U-17 Boys' Academy have completed group play in the 2019 Generation adidas Cup. On Wednesday, April 17, the Quakes capped off the group stage with a win over the Houston Dynamo in penalty kicks (2-0). Quakes goalkeeper Marcelo Echeverria made two saves in the shootout while Cade Cowell and Israel Carrillo both converted their penalty kicks.
In this year's installment of the GA Cup, the Quakes earned three wins in their five matches against MLS Academies and teams from South Korea and Denmark. See below for recaps from each match of the GA Cup:
