Quakes Girls' academy director Andres Deza has been named Western Conference Development Academy Coach of the Year after leading the U-16/U-17's to the Development Academy's inaugural Girls' U-16/17 Academy Championships semifinals. On July 9, Deza and his team fell 1-0 in stoppage time to The Nationals in the semifinals, but went on to secure third place by defeating LAFC 3-0.
In their inaugural season, The U-16/U-17's finished the 2017-2018 Development Academy Regular Season second in the Western Conference with 73 points and an 24-6-1 record.
