How long have you been a fan of the Earthquakes?
“I’ve been a fan for 15 years. I’ve been a season ticket holder for about 10.”
What does it mean for you to be honored as a Devotion Scarf recipient?
“It’s a huge honor. I’ve seen them given out to fans every year and it tells me that the Earthquakes actually know who the little people are that promote the club and come to the games and support.”
You were the first person to install your seats inside Avaya Stadium in 2014. What do you remember from that day?
“Well, I was surprised. I had no idea every photographer from every newspaper and every TV station was going to be there. They were all asking me these questions and I was just surprised. I hadn’t even left the stadium and I had people texting me saying they’ve seen me on Facebook and Twitter. That was pretty cool.”
What is your favorite Quakes moment?
“When they win.”
Who is your favorite Quakes player?
“[Chris] Wondolowski is my favorite player because he’s so good with the kids, he’s so good with the fans, he’s such a good role model being team captain, and he’s just a really nice guy.”
Tells us a little bit more about your family and your work in the community.
“I’m part of San Carlos United Soccer Club. My son played from U-9 to U-19 and he’s now a senior at Cal Poly. My daughter started when she was seven and now she’s 14. They both play Premier so they’re competing at a high level, so to see a professional team play is a good example for them to see the highest level of play.”
What would your message be to Quakes fans?
“Keep supporting the San Jose Earthquakes no matter what happens. Come out here and support our team."
