MATCH STORYLINES: Previewing Saturday's match against Western Conference foe Real Salt Lake

Kickoff
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Avaya Stadium. The match marks the Earthquakes’ final matchup against Real Salt Lake this season.

Broadcast Information
The game will be aired live on CSN Bay Area, 1590 KLIV (English) and 1370 KZSF (Spanish).

There’s No Place Like Home
The Earthquakes haven’t lost back-to-back home games since July 2014 and they have never lost two straight matches at Avaya Stadium. They also haven’t lost to Real Salt Lake on home field since April 5, 2015.

Captain’s Quarters
Earthquakes forward Chris Wondolowski is searching for his second goal of the season against RSL. If he finds the net Saturday, it would mark the second time this season he’s scored against the same club twice (Portland).

Starting XI Shakeup
The Earthquakes starting lineup is likely to look strikingly different from the one that took the field in their first matchup with Real Salt Lake this season. Quincy Amarikwa and Jordan Stewart may be unavailable due to injury, potentially opening the door for Andres Imperiale and new addition Henok Goitom to make their first career starts against the club. RSL will also possibly face midfielder Darwin Ceren for the first time in a Quakes uniform.

Wondo vs. Rimando
Chris Wondolowski has not only experienced success alongside Nick Rimando on the United States National Team, but also against the Real Salt Lake goalkeeper. All eight of his goals against RSL, which leads all active players, came with Rimando in net, including the Earthquakes’ lone goal in a 1-1 draw with the club on July 22.
