After starting and playing 90 minutes in Saturday's scoreless draw against the Colorado Rapids, San Jose midfielder Darwin Ceren earned Team of the Week honors for Week 28.
This is Ceren’s first Team of the Week honor for the Quakes since joining the club via trade on Aug. 3. In 90 minutes of play against Colorado, the Quakes midfielder recorded three shots on goal, suffered two fouls and provided a consistent defensive presence in front of the San Jose backline. In addition, the 26-year-old helped limit Colorado to just two shots on target.
