Fatai Alashe and the United States U-23s
The United States Under-23s set themselves up nicely by drawing Colombia 1-1 on the road last Friday, but failed to lock up the final spot at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio by falling 2-1 in the home leg on Tuesday. Quakes second-year midfielder Fatai Alashe entered the first match as a second-half substitute, but did not feature in the second.
Chris Wondolowski, David Bingham and the United States National Team
The United States Men’s National Team picked up a crucial 4-0 win over Guatemala at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday after falling 2-0 to the Central American side on Friday. Had the U.S. not earned a positive result in the second match, they would have found life much more difficult later in the round. Wondolowski and Bingham did not appear in either match.

Simon Dawkins and the Jamaica National Team
After earning a point at home against Costa Rica on Friday, Jamaica fell 3-0 on the road to Costa Rica on Tuesday. Playing back-to-back matches against Group B’s top team, Jamaica now sits in third place in the group and has ground to make up in the next two contests. Dawkins entered the first match as a second-half substitute but did not play in the second.

Panama earned a total of four points in their two meetings with Haiti, drawing 0-0 on Friday and winning 1-0 on Tuesday. Their strong performances have helped them widen the gap between them and Jamaica for the second advancing spot out of Group B. Godoy started both matches, playing 90 and 38 minutes and Quintero started both matches, playing 71 and 90 minutes.
