With San Jose's draw against Vancouver and losses by both FC Dallas and Real Salt Lake, the Quakes have moved from eighth to sixth place in the Western Conference. A win against the Loons on Sunday would be enough for the Earthquakes to punch their ticket to the postseason for the first time since 2012. The Quakes can still advance to the playoffs with a draw or loss depending on the other results in the conference.
First Time at Avaya
Sunday afternoon marks the second MLS matchup ever between the Earthquakes and Minnesota United FC. This will be the first time the two clubs will face off at Avaya Stadium.
