After defeating the Portland Timbers 2-1 on Saturday, Sept. 30 at Avaya Stadium, the Quakes will now have a bye week during the FIFA International Break. Five Earthquakes will join their respective national teams for 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and international friendlies.
The Quakes will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 15 when they take on Vancouver Whitecaps FC at 4:30 p.m. PT at BC Place. The match will be broadcast live on NBC Sports California, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.

RENO 1868 FC UPDATE
The Quakes’ USL affiliate Reno 1868 FC fell 3-0 to Real Monarchs SLC at Greater Nevada Field on Saturday, Sept. 30. Reno 1868 FC remains in second place in the Western Conference standings in the USL.
Reno 1868 FC will play Orange County FC at Anteater Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 5:15 p.m. PT.
QUAKES ACADEMY UPDATE
The Quakes Boys’ Academy faced the Santa Cruz Breakers Academy this weekend at the U-12, U-13, U-14, U-15, U-17 and U-19 levels. Both U-12 squads won with 14-0 and 4-3 results, the U-13s won 9-2, U-14s won 5-4, U-15s won 5-0, U-17s fell 4-1 and U-19s won 5-0. This Saturday, Oct. 7, the U-12s, U-13s and U-14s will face the EBU Bay Oaks. The U-15s and U-17s will be attending the Generation adidas Cup, where the U-15s will face Real Salt Lake, Houston Dynamo and Sporting Kansas City, and the U-17s will face Real Salt Lake, Portland Timbers and Sporting Kansas City.
The Quakes Girls’ Academy will play La Roca Futbol Club on Saturday, Oct. 7.
