The holiday-themed festival will run from noon through 5 p.m. and will feature more than 10 tons of snow and holiday-related activities ahead of a viewing party for MLS Cup 2016. Nov. 19, 2014
The Earthquakes announced a multi-year stadium naming rights deal with Avaya, confirming that the club’s home would be called Avaya Stadium. The agreement included the installation of Avaya’s state-of-the-art technology throughout the venue, making it one of the most advanced in professional sports and the first cloud-enabled venue in MLS.

ACADEMY UPDATE

The Earthquakes Academy played a full slate of games over the weekend throughout the state of California. On Saturday, the Quakes’ U-12s, U-13s and U-14s all faced Santa Rosa United here in the Bay Area. One U-12 team won 4-3, while the other fell 2-0. It marked the first loss for either U-12 side since Sept. 17. The U-13s played to a scoreless draw and the U-14s earned a dominant 3-0 victory.
The Quakes’ U-16s and U-18s both traveled to Santa Ana to take on Strikers FC. The U-16s fell 3-2 and the U-18s dropped their match 4-1. The two teams then traveled to UC Irvine to face Pateadores on Sunday, with the U-16s falling 2-0 and the U-18s winning 2-1. Arda Bulut, Alexander Guevara and Amado Lozano each scored over the weekend for the oldest Earthquakes’ side.
This coming weekend, only the Quakes’ U-12, U-13 and U-14 sides will be in action against Marin FC Alliance. The two U-12 sides will each play at Vista Montana Park in San Jose, while the U-13s and U-14s play a single match each at Mustang Soccer Complex in Danville.
