The Earthquakes return to Avaya Stadium this week to face the Philadelphia Union on Saturday, Aug. 19. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. and the match will be broadcast live on NBC Sports California Plus, KNBR 1050 and KZSF 1370.
Saturday’s match will also be annual Quakes Pride Night, presented by Meriwest. Prior to the game, the 7UP Epicenter Fan Zone will host a PRIDE Fan Experience featuring a DJ, food and LGBTQ resource fair. The first 5,000 fans will also receive a special PRIDE giveaway.

MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
From the Start
Quakes forward Chris Wondolowski in the only player on the team who has played in all of the Earthquakes’ nine matchups against the Union. The Danville-native leads the Quakes with three goals and two assists against Philadelphia from those nine appearances.
Consistency Is Key
Wondolowski has scored at least 10 or more goals for the past seven MLS seasons, an MLS record he set. He is currently just one goal away from extending the record to an eighth consecutive season.
Another Milestone
Against the Houston Dynamo on Saturday, Wondolowski reached 22,000 career minutes in MLS regular season play.

Reno 1868 FC defeated San Antonio FC 2-0 on Saturday, handing the Texan club only its second loss this season. The result brings Reno’s goal output in its inaugural season to a league-leading 51 goals.
Next up for the Quakes affiliate is an important visit to Northern California to take on Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday, Aug. 19. Republic FC currently sits just two points below Reno in the Western Conference standings in fifth place. QUAKES ACADEMY UPDATE
Over the weekend, the San Jose Earthquakes Girls Academy took part in the Mustang Girls Stampede U-13 - U17 Tournament in Danville. All four of the Earthquakes teams (U-13, 14, 15 & 17) reached the finals. two won their age group’s championship, while the other two lost their finals on penalty kicks. Overall, the four Quakes teams combined for a 16-2 record in the tournament (both losses coming in the finals), while outscoring their opponents 70 goals for to eight against.
On the boys side of the Quakes Academy, four players will spend the week training with the Earthquakes’ United Soccer League affiliate, Reno 1868 FC: Ivan Valencia, Jean-Julien Foe Nuphaus, Nico Lemoine and Adolfo Trujillo.
