Now THAT is how you kick off a season!
After Saturday’s thrilling 1-0 Opening Day win against the Montreal Impact, midfielder Anibal Godoy and defenders Florian Jungwirth and Nick Lima earned Team of the Week honors for Week 1!
This is the first time the Quakes have had three members on Team of the Week since Week 25 of the 2015 season, when Anibal Godoy, Shea Salinas and Quincy Amarikwa graced the best XI after defeating Sporting KC 5-0 and D.C. United 2-0 on the road.

Jungwirth and Lima earn their first honors on MLS Team of the Week, while Godoy makes his first appearance on MLS Team of the Week since Week 33 of the 2015 season. According to the Audi Player Index, Godoy was the most efficient player in week one with a 1169 rating. He also converted the game’s lone goal, a beautiful chip in the first half, which is currently up for MLS Goal of the Week. Jungwirth and Lima were both instrumental in limiting Montreal’s attack to just five shots en route to a clean sheet.
