Reno 1868 FC suffered their first defeat (3-0) at home in 2019 during Tuesday night’s clash against Phoenix Rising FC at Greater Nevada Field. Reno’s overall record falls to 6-4-5, and 4-1-3 at home. Earthquakes goalkeeper Matt Bersano started and played 90 minutes.
Prior to Tuesday’s match, Reno 1868 FC announced that midfielder Sam Gleadle was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 15. Gleadle netted his second goal of the season and tallied an assist in Reno’s 4-2 triumph over LA Galaxy II on Saturday, June 15.
Reno 1868 FC will face the Portland Timbers 2 on Wednesday, June 26 (7:00 p.m. PT) at Providence Park before returning to Nevada to host Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday, June 29.
