SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes defeated the Montreal Impact 1-0 Saturday night in the first game of the 2017 MLS regular season. Anibal Godoy scored in the 17th minute with a chip goal to secure the victory.
Five Earthquakes made their MLS debuts during the victory: Danny Hoesen, Jahmir Hyka, Florian Jungwirth, Nick Lima and Marco Ureña.
The Quakes return to action next Saturday, March 11 against Vancouver Whitecaps FC with kickoff scheduled for 6:45 p.m. PT. The match will be broadcast live on CSN California, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.
