The San Jose Earthquakes had two home matches last week against the Philadelphia Union (L 2-1) and Seattle Sounders FC (L 1-0) on Wednesday and Sunday, respectively. The Quakes are now in eighth place in the Western Conference, just one point behind seventh-place FC Dallas and two points behind the sixth-place Portland Timbers.
The Quakes can punch their ticket to the Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs with a win in their season finale against the Timbers. San Jose’s Decision Day match will take place on Sunday, Oct. 6 at Providence Park, with kickoff slated for 1 p.m. PT. Sunday’s contest will be the lone MLS match broadcast nationally and will be shown live on ESPN. Ted Ramey (English) and Carlos Cesar Rivera (Spanish) will also call the match on KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF, respectively.
