Earthquakes midfielder Cruz Medina and Quakes Academy players Edwyn Mendoza and Oscar Verhoeven helped the U.S. U17 National Team reach the Concacaf U17 Championship final on Sunday, Feb. 26, falling to Mexico 3-1. Despite the result, the U.S. qualified for the FIFA U17 World Cup in Peru in November.
All three Quakes players earned playing time during the Concacaf U17 Championship, with Cruz Medina earning a spot in the tournament’s Best XI.
