Playoff Push

With a record of 13-10-5, a two-point gap lies between the Earthquakes and second place. The Quakes are now 13-6-5 since the start of April with a +17 goal-differential and currently sit in fourth place.


Collecting Clean Sheets

Earthquakes goalkeeper Daniel Vega recorded his seventh shutout of the season in San Jose’s 3-0 win over Orlando City SC. Vega is currently tied for fourth for most shutouts in the Western Conference.


American Icon

Forward Chris Wondolowski’s all-time MLS scoring record has been extended to 157 goals. His 13 goals this season lead MLS among all American-born players.


Key Figure

Midfielder Cristian Espinoza has recorded 12 assists and five game-winning assists since joining the Earthquakes in January. Espinoza is fourth in the Western Conference in assists, and tied for third in the league in game-winning assists


Visiting the Beehive State

The Earthquakes are unbeaten in three consecutive matches against Real Salt Lake after defeating the Utah side 1-0 in July. San Jose now hold a winning record of 11-10-11 in all-time regular season matches against the Utah side. The Quakes are 3-5-7 when playing at Rio Tinto Stadium.

The Earthquakes will be seeking their first ever win against New York City FC when they visit Yankee Stadium on Saturday. San Jose are currently 0-3-1 in all-time matchups against the New York side.
