QUAKES NOTES: Quakes move into third place in Western Conference

San Jose will face Colorado for the second time in two weeks on Saturday night in Commerce City, Colo. The Quakes prevailed 3-1 on July 29 to improve to 30-21-16 all-time against the Rapids.


Moving Up the Table

San Jose now holds an 11-7-5 record this season and sits in third place in the Western Conference with an identical record to second-place Minnesota United FC and fourth-place Seattle Sounders FC.

San Jose were awarded their first penalty kick of the season and first since Sept. 29, 2018. Midfielder Magnus Eriksson converted the penalty, marking his fifth goal of the season and 11th of his career. Throughout his MLS career, Eriksson has scored all four penalty kicks he's taken.
