SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced the pricing structure for general seating for their 18,000-seat stadium that will be located on Coleman Ave. in San Jose. The new stadium continues the Earthquakes’ tradition of providing very affordable ticket options for the majority of the seating. The prices will compare very well to the current prices at Buck Shaw Stadium for Quakes matches. Additionally, the Earthquakes will not charge a personal seat license fee for any season tickets sold at their new stadium.
“Our goal is to provide a world-class soccer experience at an affordable price,” said Earthquakes President Dave Kaval. “We have designed a stadium with the fans in mind with great sightlines for all seats and our pricing structure matches that fan-first philosophy. We are also proud to offer all of our seats without a personal seat license.”
Compared with Buck Shaw Stadium prices, rates will raise an average of just $1.60 per seat for 95 percent of the new stadium. Among the premium seating options on sale at the club’s new venue is the Midfield Club. The Earthquakes will have 500 seats at midfield that include upgraded plush seats, a season parking pass and an invitation to future VIP events. Each of these seats will be in the first five rows of their section. Further augmenting the club’s new stadium seating options is the addition of the Premier Midfield and Premier Midline sections. Each of these will feature an upgraded, larger plush seat.
The new stadium will also feature a 1,400-person Supporters’ Section with a private clubhouse. The clubhouse will include a bar, food options and a place to store tifo while serving as a rallying point for San Jose’s diehard fans before kickoff.
“The Supporters’ Section is a unique part of the club and creates a special atmosphere on gamedays,” Kaval said. “We worked hand-in-hand with the 1906 Ultras and Casbah to create a dedicated space for what we believe will be the best Supporters’ Section in Major League Soccer.”
Season tickets at the new stadium will be purchased using a priority-based system. Current Earthquakes season ticket holders have the first priority based on their tenure with the club and will be given time slots to select seats starting in November 2012. In order to secure their time slot, the seat holder must renew by Oct. 21, 2012. They will have the option to buy up to double their current season ticket allotment for any section at the new stadium.
Next in the priority list are fans that become a 2013 season ticket holder by Oct. 21, 2012. Those who do will be placed into a queue for seat selection time slots starting January 2013. Finally, fans will also have the option to place a $100 deposit for 2014 season tickets to be placed into a queue for seat selection time slots starting in July 2013.

The Earthquakes announced Oct. 21 as their groundbreaking date for the club’s privately financed 18,000-seat stadium at 1125 Coleman Ave. in San Jose. As part of the ceremony, the Quakes will aim to break the Guinness World Record for most people taking part in a groundbreaking event, a figure that stands at 4,532.

Each fan that registers will receive a voucher via email that needs to be presented on the day of the ceremony. Anyone planning to attend can park for free starting at 10:30 a.m. at the new stadium site on the corner of Coleman Ave. and Newhall Ave. Check-in for diggers begins at 11:30 a.m. To ensure participation, fans should arrive before noon.
