Cordell Cato and Trinidad and Tobago head into this week’s FIFA World Cup Qualifying hoping to gain some ground in the Hex. Sitting in last place with three points, the Soca Warriors will square off against Honduras on Friday, Sept. 1 at Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva and Anibal Godoy and Panama Tuesday, Sept. 5 at Estadio Rommel Fernandez in Panama City.
Trinidad & Tobago is hoping to rebound from a disappointing round of Qualifiers in June where they fell 2-1 to Costa Rica at Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica and 2-0 to the United States at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Cato, however, wasn't with the squad, last appearing for the Soca Warriors in March, where they defeated Panama 1-0 and fell to Mexico 0-1 in a pair of World Cup Qualifiers.
