Anibal Godoy and Panama are right on the heels of the United States heading into this week’s FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. Just one point behind USA in the Hex, Los Canaleros hope to earn maximum points against Mexico on Friday, Sept. 1 at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City and Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at Estadio Rommel Fernandez in Panama City.
Godoy is coming off a promising 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup performance in July, leading Panama to the tournament’s Quarterfinals. Since making his international debut in 2010, Godoy has made 81 appearances in the midfield, tallying one goal and three assists.
