San Jose Earthquakes designated player Vako returned to his native Georgia during the past week and a half to join the Georgia National Team in 2018 FIFA World Qualifying.
The Georgia National Team to faced Wales at Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi, Georgia on Oct. 6, and Serbia at FK Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade, Serbia on Oct. 9 at 11:45 a.m. PT.
Before playing the game, the team trained for a few days.
Vako met up with his countrymen as they prepared for the matches.
Heading into the match, Georgia sat in fifth place in Group D with a 0-3-5 record. Vako last joined Georgia for a pair of qualifiers in September, scoring in the 1-1 draw with Ireland and playing 92 minutes in the 1-1 draw with Austria.
Georgia fell 1-0 in both their matches against Wales and Serbia, but finished above Moldova in its qualifying group.
In his senior national team career, Vako has scored six goals in 28 appearances.
