NEWS: Venue Announced for US Men's National Team's Hexagonal opener vs. Mexico

We knew it was coming, we just didn't know where.
However, when Columbus' MAPFRE Stadium was
announced on Monday
as the venue for the US Men's National Team's clash with Mexico to open up the Hexagonal stage of 2018 World Cup Qualifying on November 11, it made so much sense.

The site where "Dos a Cero" was born is set to host another important battle between the neighboring countries this fall and while the United States is expected to emerge successfully from a bit of a bumpy qualifying stretch, a win against their fiercest rivals would make their path to Russia that much clearer.
Though not much match time has been given to Quakes captain & USMNT veteran Chris Wondolowski in Copa America & September qualifiers, head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has made his appreciation for Wondo's leadership and work rate well known as recently as his last call-up for the red, white & blue's qualifiers vs. St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago.
Will Wondo get the call for what promises to be a fiery opening to "The Hex"?
