The updated MLS Power Rankings have been released and the Quakes dropped from third to seventh place. The Quakes completed a tough stretch of matches having played six matches in just 23 days. They were unfortunate not to take all three points from the Mile-High city after striking the post twice during the match and dominating the Rapids in possession (65%), shots (17-14), passes (543-290), and pass accuracy (86%-72%). Despite the loss, the signs of progress are clear. The Quakes can impose their style of play on any team, anywhere. Just a small bit of improvement and the Quakes will be climbing back up the Power Rankings. Read the full Power Rankings here.
The Quakes are set to travel to Kansas City to take on SKC on the weekend. This will be a big three points for the Quakes if they can grind out a result.
