While there will be plenty of contact on the field, there won’t be any at concession stands at PayPal Park in 2022. The venue, which has already transitioned to digital ticketing, will be going cashless heading into the new season.

Fans looking to purchase concessions, merchandise or tickets can use credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, PayPal, Venmo, and other select digital payment apps. However, physical cash and coins will no longer be accepted, except at the food trucks.

Major League Baseball’s Tampa Bay Rays became the first U.S. sports team to go cashless at home games three years ago. And in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, many teams across the nation have followed suit to provide their fans fast, safe and secure transactions.
