SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Earthquakes forward Jeremy Ebobisse and defender Paul Marie have been named to Major League Soccer’s Team of the Matchday, formerly known as Team of the Week, for Matchday 8. Ebobisse scored two goals and Marie tallied an assist and helped record a shutout defensively in the Earthquakes’ 3-0 victory over Sporting Kansas City on Saturday night at PayPal Park.
The MLS Team of the Matchday selection is Ebobisse’s ninth since joining the club in August 2021 and second this season. It is the second of Marie’s MLS career and first in 2023.
