SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Jack Skahan has been named to Major League Soccer’s Team of the Matchday for Matchday 11. Skahan sparked the Quakes’ attack in the second half and scored the game-tying goal to help San Jose earn a point in Nashville.
Coming off the bench to start the second half, Skahan instantly made an impact, constantly creating danger in the attacking third. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, the midfielder made the most of his return to his home state in the 63rd minute when he hauled in a pass from Rodrigues and got behind the Nashville SC back line to slot home his first goal of the season in an eventual 1-1 draw.
The MLS Team of the Matchday selection is Skahan’s first in his MLS career since joining the club in February 2020 as a second-round selection in the MLS SuperDraft.
