Fynn Hayton-Ruffner of the San Jose Earthquakes U-15 Academy squad has been selected by TopDrawerSoccer as the U-15 Boys Development Academy Player of the Week.
Hayton-Ruffner scored three goals in the Quakes’ 5-0 win over Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday morning. He has now scored a team-high nine goals in 12 games in his debut season with San Jose after joining the Earthquakes from East Bay United Bay Oaks. The Quakes U-15s are now 7-3-2 with a division-best +12 goal differential.
Fahmi Ibrahim of the Quakes’ eldest Academy team was also selected as one of four nation-wide standouts at the U-19 level for his 90th-minute equalizer against Sacramento in a 1-1 draw on Saturday. He has now tallied a team-high five goals so far this season.
