SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Earthquakes defenders Harold Cummings and Guram Kashia and midfielders Anibal Godoy and Vako have been called to their respective national teams for the upcoming international window.
Kashia and Vako will join the Georgia National Team for matches against Andorra on Thursday, Nov. 15 (11:45 a.m. PT) and Kazakhstan on Monday, Nov. 19 (9 a.m. PT) as part of the UEFA Nations League. With a perfect 4-0-0 record, Georgia currently leads Group 1 in League D and have already secured promotion to League C despite having two games remaining.
Kashia, 31, who serves as the team’s captain, has scored two goals in 67 prior appearances for Georgia. The Kashia-led Georgia defense has yet to concede a goal through four matches in the competition.
Vako, 25, has tallied 10 goals and two assists in 36 prior appearances for the Georgia National Team. He has recorded two goals and an assist in four Nations League matches to date, including a brace against upcoming opponent Andorra last month.
Cummings and Godoy link up with the Panama National Team for a pair of friendlies against Honduras on Friday, Nov. 16 (time TBD) and Ecuador on Tuesday, Nov. 20 (5 p.m. PT).
Cummings, 26, has made 53 appearances for Panama since his international debut in 2010, playing in one match during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Godoy, 28, has scored one goal in 92 appearances for Panama. He has served as the team’s captain and was a key contributor in Panama’s qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, while starting all three matches during the competition.
