SAN JOSE, Calif. – Four players in the San Jose Earthquakes Academy will spend the week training with the team’s United Soccer League Affiliate Reno 1868 FC. Ivan Valencia, Jean-Julien Foe Nuphaus, Nico Lemoine and Adolfo Trujillo will work with Reno, currently the top-scoring team in American professional soccer, leading up to the team’s game against Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday, Aug. 19.
Valencia, 18, and Foe Nuphaus, 17, are both central midfielders, while Lemoine, 17, and Trujillo, 17, are both forwards. Foe Nuphaus, Lemoine and Trujillo have all represented the United States at various youth national team levels. The four players all currently play for the Earthquakes Academy U-19 squad.
