SAN JOSE, Calif. ā The San Jose Earthquakes have officially unveiled The Creator Kit set to be debuted during the 2022 Major League Soccer season. The gray and black kit will be worn as the clubās secondary jersey in 2022 and 2023. The Creator Kit is now available for purchase at the Quakes Team Store and online by clicking here.
The adidas-made Creator Kit is primarily gray with black accents throughout. In addition to three black stripes on the shoulders, all logos, including jersey partner Intermedia, and player names and numbers are black. The jersey top, which is made with adidasā AEROREADY technology, carries alternating black converging vertical and diagonal line patterns down both side seams. Its unique patterns are inspired by the unique network of steel that defines PayPal Park, the street art that fills the city's walls, and the dynamic movement of San Jose and the tectonic plates it sits between. No two jerseys will be alike, as the patten down the sides is randomly cut from a repeating cloth.
The jersey also has a back neckline that reads āLa UniĆ³n hace la Fuerza,ā which translates to āUnity creates Strength,ā to symbolize how every individual between the club, fanbase and local community come together by each adding their grain of sand. The back neck transfer reads āSan Joseā to honor the city that every person proudly represents. The kit also includes both black and gray shorts, depending on potential color conflicts, aligned with gray socks.
The Earthquakes kick off the 2022 MLS season with their home opener on Saturday, Feb. 26, when the team hosts the New York Red Bulls at 3:00 p.m. PT at PayPal Park.
