SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes have officially unveiled the Active Fault jersey that will serve as the club’s new primary kit during the 2023 and 2024 Major League Soccer seasons. Proudly displaying the club’s black and blue colors with motion-fading diagonal streaks, the Active Fault jersey showcases earthquake-like seismic patterns to honor the dynamic culture and hard-working grit of the club and people of Northern California.
The Earthquakes’ Active Fault jersey is now available for purchase at the Quakes Team Store and online by clicking here. It will also be available in person at the 2023 Season Hype Party on Thursday, March 2 at Blanco Urban Venue in Downtown San Jose. To RSVP for the Quakes’ 2023 Season Hype Party, click here.
Fabricated with adidas’ AEROREADY technology, the jersey top is primarily blue with black streaks across the front, carrying a fading effect resembling the hard-working grit that the club and the City of San Jose are proud of. Intermedia, the club’s jersey sponsor, is prominently displayed on the front in white lettering. The jersey’s black shoulders are composed of blue adidas’ signature stripes running down the sleeves and a single blue line at the end. New this year, the left sleeve showcases the Apple TV logo below the MLS crest.
The front side of the Active Fault jersey also displays black diagonal streaks ascending upwards in a seismic, tectonic pattern similar to fault lines associated with earthquakes. The pattern resembles San Jose’s dynamic culture on and off the pitch, paying tribute to the club and people that ‘Never Say Die’.
Inspired by the mentality of taking hits and bruises but never backing down, the jersey includes a jocktag that reads ‘FIGHT TIL THE END’, with ‘SJ74’ to its left. The back neck transfer reads ‘SAN JOSE’ on a blue tag to honor the city that the club represents. The complete kit also includes black shorts and black socks, both accented with three blue stripes on the sides.
