SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes will celebrate Mexican Heritage Night, presented by Audi, on Saturday, May 7 vs. the Colorado Rapids. Kickoff from PayPal Park is set for 7 p.m. PT.
The Quakes will distribute 5,000 Mexican heritage scarves, courtesy of Audi, designed by globally known Mexican American artist Jesse ‘Urban Aztec’ Hernandez. Mexican heritage t-shirts will also be available in the Team Store, designed by local creative director Alex Knowbody.
Fans will be able to enjoy pregame festivities, including live music from Mariachi Estelar, a lucha libre performance from Pro Wrestling Revolution, and food trucks from local restaurants. Los Mestizos de San Jose will then perform a Mexican folkloric dance on the field at halftime.
Fans can purchase special-event tickets for the match here, which includes the option to pre-order a Mexican heritage t-shirt. Fans who purchase a special-event ticket to the May 7 match will also be able to add discounted tickets to the can’t-miss California Clasico at Stanford Stadium on June 25.
Ahead of the match, the Earthquakes will participate in the Cinco de Mayo celebration in La Placita Tropicana in front of El Girasol on May 5 from 6-9pm. Fans interested in participating in the Cinco de Mayo celebration can sign up here.
