SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes have loaned defender Oskar Ågren to USL Championship side Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC for the 2023 season.
Ågren, 24, joined the Earthquakes as the 13th-overall selection in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft after leading the Clemson Tigers to a national championship in 2021. That season, Ågren was a College Soccer News First Team All-American and one of three finalists for the prestigious MAC Hermann Trophy, which recognizes the best player in college soccer.
Ågren made three MLS appearances for the Earthquakes and three MLS NEXT Pro appearances for Earthquakes II as a rookie in 2022.
