SAN JOSE, Calif. –San Jose Earthquakes goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski will miss the remainder of the 2023 season after sustaining a knee injury in last Saturday’s friendly match against C.D. Olimpia. Marcinkowski tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) and medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his right knee. He is scheduled to have surgery in the coming weeks.
Marcinkowski, 26, has played in 13 games this season, starting 12 and earning four clean sheets as San Jose went 5-4-3 in that span. Since signing with the club as a Homegrown Player in 2017, the native of Alamo, California, has made 95 official appearances (94 starts) across all competitions for the Earthquakes.
