SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Earthquakes defender Nathan successfully underwent surgery to repair an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in his right knee on Tuesday afternoon. The surgery was performed by orthopaedic surgeons Dr. Marc Safran and Dr. Joe Donahue at Stanford Medicine. The surgery will keep him out indefinitely.
Nathan suffered the injury in a preseason friendly against USL Championship side Monterey Bay F.C. on Feb. 4.
Nathan, 27, has made 46 MLS appearances (all starts) and scored five goals since joining San Jose in June 2021.
