NEWS: Chivas vs. Club León Match Rescheduled for March 2021

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The international friendly between Club Deportivo Guadalajara and Club León at Earthquakes Stadium, home of the San Jose Earthquakes, has been rescheduled from Oct. 10, 2020 to March 27, 2021. Kickoff time for the match will be announced at a later date.


Fan Fest and other activations centered around the match will also occur on the rescheduled date at a time to be determined. This will be the first time Chivas has played at Earthquakes Stadium since Quakes head coach Matias Almeyda left the Mexican club.


All tickets already purchased for Oct. 10 will remain valid for the rescheduled date. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster by clicking here.


Founded in 1906, Chivas are one of the most successful clubs in Mexico, winning 12 Liga MX titles, seven Campeón de Campeónes and four Copa MX championships. Both recent Liga MX and Copa MX titles were won in 2017, and the Concacaf Champions League in 2018, while led by Almeyda.


Founded in 1944, Club León have experienced success in Liga MX, most recently claiming the Apertura 2013 and Clausura 2014 championships. Club León have won seven Liga MX titles, five Copa MX championships and five Campeón de Campeónes. León’s roster features many national team players from South America, Mexico and the U.S.
